Field Theory: WHAT IS A FIELD? Ken Wheeler Video

FOR CONSIDERATION :

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

COMMENT QUOTE FROM YOUTUBE : isonlynameleft -Modern physics, fortunately or unfortunately, has moved on from trying to say what the physical world "IS" in terms of absolutes but has instead been forced to use mathematical concepts to "describe" how the universe behaves. Physicists are very much aware of this and it is often the topic of much debate (e.g., the Copenhagen interpretation, the measurement problem, etc.). You're right, if you take these concepts TOO literally they don't make any sense but in terms of a "physical theory" they do exactly what they were intended to do which is, provide a physical description of an observed phenomenon and make testable predictions. You're not alone in being unhappy with the current direction of modern physics but they are able to do what they are claiming. Unless you HEAVILY follow current scientific literature unfortunately many of these ideas are incomplete and convoluted.
